This January, the Changing Lives, Changing World International Film Series continues with "Travellers & Magicians," a film from Bhutan and written and directed by Khyentse Norbu, a Buddhist Lama. This film follows the story of Dondup, a Bhutan government official who wishes to travel to America, his vision of Shangri-La. However, after missing a bus he ends of hitchhiking with an eclectic group of travellers and in the process finds love and a new respect for life in his own country.
The film will be shown in Dzonghka with English subtitles. A short discussion will follow the film.
